Oxerra’s ranges of micronised iron oxide pigments are extremely versatile and a highly effective method of adding vibrant color to a wide range of products including pigment paste, industrial coating, powder coating, wood lacquer, automotive and marine paint, architectural paints and plastics. These pigments are lightfast, colour consistent, UV stable, weather resistant, alkali and mild acid resistant, insoluble in water, synthetic and have excellent dispersibility.

Premium A-Grade & Low-Viscosity “LV” variants
CathayCoat Micronized A-grade iron oxides are high-quality pigments tailor-made for high end coatings that have premium requirements. With their excellent dispersing properties, they can be used directly for high-speed dispersing without further milling. Therefore it saves time, energy and labor during the production of paints, dispersions and other final products.
The yellow oxide suffix “LV” variants provide extra-low viscosity in the final dispersion, even at the highest pigment loading.
Standard S-Grade
CathayCoat S-grade iron oxides are a range of high-quality pigments with attractive prices for paints, plastics, paper and dispersions. Extra milling or dispersant additives can be added to customize and improve the final product.

Micronised Pigments for Coatings
COLOURS
The CathayCoat™ YA Yellow range is a range of high performance, coatings gradeyellow iron oxide pigments suitable for a wide range of demanding colourant applications. Typical applications include architectural paints, industrial coatings, product finishes, wood stains, plastics, rubber, ceramics, inks, paper, concrete, stucco, cement and mortar.
They are highly micronized to offer easy dispersion with high-speed impeller milling equipment or single & twin screw extruders. The excellent dispersion characteristics and high tint strength of this premium range of yellow pigments make them particularly useful in many of today’s high performance coatings. These cost-effective pigments eliminate the need for more expensive dispersant additives and pre-dispersed liquid pigment concentrates.

The YA range exhibits excellent weathering durability and light fastness. It is produced to strict quality tolerances and offers reliable performance, outstanding opacity, acid and alkali resistance, chemical resistance, exterior durability and compatibility.

Like all black iron oxides, this range exhibits excellent lightfastness and chemical resistance. In normal applications it is considered a permanent pigment. While weaker than typical carbon black pigments, black iron oxides are more compatible with water base systems. Black iron oxides also have the unique property of being magnetic, since they are based on the mineral Magnetite, so this property may also be utilised in more specialised identification/security applications.
